Anastasia + James – Hawthorns Country Club

I love going up to Fishers at the Hawthorns Country Club for weddings. It’s a great venue and for a videographer it’s nice because everything is in one location. The guys even get ready in a room right next to the girls before the ceremony. Working with Jennifer at Baby Grace Photography was a first for me and was a pleasure to see her in action.

I had a lot of pressure editing this piece with Anastasia and James. Not only to improve on each wedding I shoot, but because I think Anastasia is my biggest fan on Facebook and I didn’t want to let her down. Not to sound cheesy but this was a wedding where I could feel the love, especially during the first dance. When I met with Anastasia and James at Starbucks I felt so comfortable and I could tell their wedding would be a blast. And it was.  Congrats to the both of you!

Ashley + TJ – Cincinnati Wedding

This was one wedding I was looking forward to since it was booked. Why? I’ve always wanted to film at a barn reception and their photographer was Stacy Newgent, so right then, I knew I’d love their style. Plus it was near Cincinnati, that’s fun! By the way check out the amazing photos from Stacy.

Every once in a while, you have a wedding where everything seems to click. And this was one of them. The Father speaking in the ceremony, the toasts, welcome speech by Ashley’s dad, Ashley reading her letter from TJ, just to name a few. Not to mention all the little details, that told their story. TJ, who was in a band, requested the music, which was a little different from my style, but I think it worked really well. Actually a couple of the songs have really grown on me and are stuck in my head.

Out of town weddings are so much fun, especially when the couple is so excited to have you there! And Ashely and TJ were just that. It was a pleasure being apart of their wedding. And it was the first wedding I actually went home early. I hope this will be a keepsake you can enjoy for the rest of your lives.

Kim + Justin – D’Amore Indianapolis Wedding

This was a wedding I’ll never forget.  When Kim found me she didn’t waste any time.  After I told her that her date was available, I think I got a deposit the following day, haha.  Kim and Justin were great to work with and I could tell they were excited to have me there and that is always an amazing feeling.
This was the first time I shot a wedding at the D’Amore.  It is located on the top floor of the Chase Building.  I was afraid to touch anything, because everything was so clean and white.  I think my favorite touch in the wedding was the string quartet.  They were amazing and played every song you could think of.  Thank you Kim and Justin for working with me.

Sara + Juan Pablo – Indiana War Memorial

When you think of the Indiana War Memorial you probably don’t think of weddings. Most may not realize this hidden gem is downtown Indianapolis and is open to visit free to the public. If you get a chance, it is worth it. This was a big day for Sara and Juan, especially having so much family together for the first time flying in from Colombia. I think my favorite part was watching the proposal video with all the guest before the ceremony, I’ve never seen that done before. Best of luck, Sara and Juan Pablo.

Shannon + Nick – Indianapolis Historical Society

About a year back, Bob from Indy Visual got a hold of me seeing if I was interested in donating my services to Wish Upon A Wedding, which is the world’s first nonprofit wedding wish granting organization for couples facing a terminal illness.  I decided to get involved, filled out an online form, and before I knew it a wedding came along and the couple choose me as their videographer.
I’ve filmed a lot of weddings, but non like this.  Just a month after getting engaged Nick found out he was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma.  With chemo treatments costing $22,000 a piece, Nick and Shannon didn’t think they were going to get married.  But Wish Upon A Wedding stepped in and helped their dream come true.  I enjoyed the day and was glad to give the couple something they can relive forever.
