Courtney + Zach – Hawthorns Country Club

Seems like I sat down with Courtney and Zach forever ago to chat about their wedding. Now it has came and gone. I remember Courtney fell in love with Janell and Zach wedding video and wanted the same. I don’t know if it were their written vows or the sweet letters they wrote each other but it was an emotional day and a fun wedding to edit.

It’s always fun working at the Hawthorns County Club, seems like it’s always a perfect day every time I’m there. It was really a pleasure hanging with Courtney and Zach they both seem so humble and would do anything for someone else. Love each other and spend as much time together as you can.

Kelly + Jessie – Columbia Club Wedding

Seems like it was just the other day when I met up with Kelly and Jessie at a coffee shop. Now the wedding as come and gone and they are left with memories. July 13th was a perfect day and the wedding was perfect as well. It was a lot of fun hanging out with Jessie and Kelly. It was my first wedding at the Columbia Club and my first time working with photographers Bobbi and Mike.

I love the line Jessie said shortly after he met Kelly, “I’m either going to marry that girl or she is going to break my heart,” I’m glad you found each other. God Bless.

Vanessa + Brian – Oxford, Ohio Wedding

Thanks to Stacy Newgent posting a video I did on her blog, I got to meet Vanessa and Brian.  Vanessa got a hold of me one day and booked with me the next.  I knew her wedding would be a blast with Stacy as the photographer.  I love her style and it’s always fun working with her.

Some weddings are easier to edit then others, and this was one of the easiest.  They wrote their own vows, Brian read an emotional card from Vanessa and their toasts and interviews were full of emotion.  I was literally crying while editing the toasts.  Wow.  It was a blast traveling to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio to be there for Brian’s and Vanessa’s day.  Best of luck in the future, I’m glad you found each other.

Maranda + Jason – Illinois Wedding Video

This wedding was a little different, well mainly because there wasn’t a wedding ceremony.  Maranda and Jason got married out of town on March 4th, but was coming home to celebrate the reception with friends and family.  The party was located out on brooks lake in Robinson, Illinois.  This was the property of Jason’s family and wow, it is beautiful.  I’d love to own a home out in the country with your own private lake.

The weather wasn’t looking good at the start but it cleared out and ended up being an amazing day for a party.  It was fun working with Maranda and Jason, they are such a sweet couple with fun personalities.  And that goes for the whole bridal party, I think they were laughing 90% of the day.  It was also fun working with photographer Ryan with Hip n Humble Studio, I even tried out a couple of his lenses.

Congratulations to Maranda and Jason!

Laura + Conner – Union Station Wedding

Having the opportunity to film this wedding was an unusual story. Photographer Molly Conner recommended me and when Beth (the mother of the bride) was checking out my website she came across a photo of my dad, her cousin. So long story short, we are related. I’ve been to Beth’s house before and swam in her pool! Small world. It was fun filming a wedding where my parents, grandma, aunts and cousins were apart of the guests.

And as far as Conner and Laura, they have an interesting story as well. They’ve know each other forever (I think like 7 years old) and as I believe they both only dated each other. As Laura says, “it’s always been Conner.” It was obvious to tell the strength of their love by spending the day with them. It was also cool to see the close relationship between Laura and her sister. My daughters are about the same age apart and I hope they are close in the same way.

It was great working with Molly Conner and fun shooting my first wedding at the breathtaking Union Station. It was also a pleasure working with wedding planners Marie Frey and group with FCCI Weddings, they were on it all day and even gave me a little timeline folder 🙂 And it’s always fun working with and hearing the live music from the Endless Summer Band.

Enjoy. And best of luck to Laura and Conner, you’re off to a solid start!
