About a year ago, Brooke was a bridesmaid in Erin and Andrew’s wedding up in Lafayette and that is how she found me. Now it is her day. You can tell Brooke and Scott were meant for each other and are happy. This was a really fun wedding. Both the ceremony and reception were at the Conrad in downtown Indianapolis, which made it nice to be in one place. It is always nice working with a wedding planner and Drew from Suore Events did an amazing job. It’s neat to get to know the couple throughout the day, for example I didn’t know at one time Brooke was the leading shot blocker in the nation for basketball. Congrats Brooke and Scott, thanks for having me along on your wedding day.

Super 8 Film – 2012 Destin Vacation
We took Nikk’s grandpa’s old super 8 camera along with a couple rolls of film down to Destin, Florida. I was excited to get the film back from Yale Film & Video. They did a great job processing and transferring the footage, and being an old camera I had no clue how it would turn out. It’s fun shooting film, there is a mystery about it.
An Hour with The Mundens
The other evening I hung out with my friends Jeremy and Dawn and their children. We didn’t really have anything planned, just took some shots around their home. It was a great night. Abby couldn’t stop smiling and Lucas hit ‘bombs’ with the baseball bat in the back yard. What a family full of love.
Kylene + Eric – Oak Hill Mansion
In August I got my chance to film my first wedding at the Oak Hill Mansion up in Carmel, Indiana. It is quite a place. The ceremony was out back with a beautiful wooded backdrop, while the reception was inside in their banquet hall. I don’t know the history about this house but it looks like at one time a family lived here.
Kylie and Eric are a special couple with the lord at the center of their hearts. They may have dated for longer than they excepted but this gave them time to put God in front of their lives. As you can see it was a happy, emotional day. The outside ceremony was beautiful to say the least. It was an extremely hot day, but it didn’t slow anything down. It was also great working with some talented photographers, Elizabeth Chapman and Cathy Satre. I think my favorite part of the day was watching the couple take a moment during the ceremony to pray and give thanks to God. I hope this is something Kylie and Eric can pull out from time to time to remember when it all began.

Blythe + Nate – IMA – One Year Anniversary Surprise
A few weeks ago Blythe emailed me and asked if I’d like to film her surprising Nate with an anniversary gift. I said sure! I’ve never done anything like this, but it was pretty fun hiding behind a bush about 50 yards away. Happy 1st Anniversary Nate and Blythe! While you are here watch their wedding film again.
Sarah + Jason – Mavris Indianapolis Wedding
Sarah and Jason have a story. Hockey guy from Minnesota meeting a country girl from a small town in Indiana. This was a fun wedding. The ceremony was at a small church in Shelbyville with a lot of character and the reception was at the Mavris in downtown Indianapolis.
A couple months before their wedding I got to meet Sarah and Jason for lunch to talk about their day. It was cool to see how much they are in love. And from meeting them I could tell there wedding would be a lot of fun. Then they mentioned their photographer was Jennifer at Baby Grace Photography, and I was like, “wait, I know her!” It is always fun working with her and her assistant.
Well enough said, take a look at Sarah and Jason’s video and while your at it, leave a comment. Congrats Sarah and Jason, it was great being part of your day!
